Export DXF Dialog Disappears on Mac BigSur 11.2.3

Right click on a sketch, save as DXF. Any attempt to use the dialog, or even a timeout it seems, closes the dialog. I've had this happen in the past, I think I just ignored it and moved on. Now it's getting to be an issue so hoping someone might have some insight.

When that happens, can you move the Fusion application window to see if the dialog is behind it?

I will test this when it happens. Although I think I just got an update and it does not seem to be happening anymore. So maybe it was resolved, maybe just had a glitch or some other software on my system which was interfering.

No glitch. It happens to me ALL THE TIME. And, no, the dialog is not being hidden. It is being closed. I am on Monterey 12.6.3 & it is a race. I have to type a file name as fast as I can before the "Save as DXF" dialog just closes itself. It seems like I have about 4 seconds or less to type a filename & hit save. I normally lose about 3 times. Very bothersome behavior. A fix would be greatly appreciated.

Did you try restarting Fusion, or restarting your computer yet?

Do you run Fusion in it's own desktop, or on a second monitor?

I ask these questions to narrow down the possible ways to replicate the issue. This is because in order to debug it in development, a developer must reproduce the issue. There is something special about you, and perhaps others, that is related to the problem (it's not an issue for most customers).

If we can identify this, we can work on reproducing it and debugging it. Your help is greatly appreciated!

Hi Phil,

The problem lasted several weeks, so yes this machine has been restarted. A lot.

I work just on the laptop & I also work with a 2nd monitor. The problem happened on both.

I've had Fusion 360 2.0.15291 x86_64 [Native] for about 2 days now & so far so good.

I suppose given someone's opinion, they might say it has been cured.

For me, 2 days doesn't compare to the weeks that it was acting up, so I will continue to monitor the matter.

Fusion 360 2.0.15293 x86_64 & so far today, all has been well. I've only exported one file today, but I should do about 8 or so before the day is over.

I'm on 2.0.15050 x86_64 [Native] and still having the issue. Just had it again right now saving a DXF but I think I might have figured out what is causing it for me. Here are my current details:

1. I've restarted multiple times, both the app and my computer. This version just auto updated I'm fairly sure as I have an icon in my dock and the program is now open under a different icon in the dock (that is not the one which I've set to be in the dock). This tells me it likely updated. I recently restarted because the program was severely lagging. Likely it was a sketch that had a lot of constraints which was pulled in from an SVG which likely gave it lots of points. It was a really basic logo design but for some reason it really killed the functions in F360. After the restart/update of F360 it seems to be better on that sketch but I also pulled out a lot of constraints. I think I have auto constraints turned on since I've reformatted my computer, I need to turn those off.

2. I do not use a 2nd monitor. Recently had this laptop warrantied by apple for hard drive (which is soldered on mobo) so both were replaced. Doubt this was directly responsible since I have the repaired laptop and it works fine otherwise. I also have a 2nd laptop which is a clone (hardware wise) of the first and had it happen on there while the first was getting repaired. They are 2019 Macbook Pro maxed out (32GB, 1TB SSD, 2.4GHz i9 8-core) so there is plenty of available CPU and memory (I don't run anything else that intensive).

3. I've paid close attention to what I'm doing when this happens. It is either time-based or click-based as it happens (annoyingly) around the same "depth" to my saving each time. The box isn't hidden, it closes. I often hit my huge trackpad with my palms and occasionally this will cause an errant click but I've paid very close attention in F360 and this is not the case.

I suspected this *might* be due to a 3rd party software. I use lots of little helpers like HyperSwitch, HyperDock, Clean Shot, etc. I used to use 3rd party file managers (finder) but at this moment I have none installed. To test, the easiest to disable (and the most suspected) was HyperDock. It puts a preview of your active windows as hover images above the dock icons. This means it polls the screen every so often using accessibility features to grab those screenshots. Putting those pieces together it seemed likely so I disabled it and tested and, my non-scientific results are that this is the culprit. At least for me, in short term testing.

@joe_beck4Y3YR do you happen to have a helper like this installed?
