Is there a way to automatically capture design position after I have moved a component?

I am using "No Component Drag" add-in, so I do not have to worry about accidental/unwanted position capture.

No and that would also be terribly undesirable.

To locate components, use joints.

In theory, this should be taken care of for you. If components are in a moved position, any operation that depends on component position should prompt whether to capture position or not.

However, @TrippyLighting is right - too many Capture Position features in your timeline is not desirable. In a large assembly, those can negatively affect performance. And, using Joints is, indeed, much better than Move/Capture as an assembly mechanism. Capture Position is really intended for doing "position-based modeling", which is useful, but probably not all that common.

Finally, you should no longer need the "no component drag" add-in. Disabling component drag is now available in parametric designs (I added it myself):
