&lt;P&gt;Use constrained orbit:&lt;/P&gt;

      <title>How to rotate view with one axis only?</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;In the design &amp;amp; animation view I need to be able to rotate the &lt;U&gt;view&lt;/U&gt; (not move parts) with one axis only.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Is there a shortcut or another way to make it happen.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;I do have 3dConnexion space mouse compact, but even with that the model is always moving to some other axis also.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If using rotation / move tool in animation space then the middle axis of a design is just whatever and it will move from side to side fluctuating. and unable to make smooth rotating animation with complex assemblies.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;</description>
