Thank you Sujay, you are correct. It looks like I did not wait long enough for the save processe to finish, before I switched to the drawing. Although I had originally done what you suggest, I cannot replicate the issue any more as long as I have a bit more patience 🙂

I have a simple drawing derived from an assembly that is made up of 4 of the same linked components. See pictures. The issue is that after I made some changes to the design, it tells me in the drawing file, as expected, that the components are out of date, but there is no "Get Latest" button, in fact it says it is referencing the latest version of the design. Restarting Fusion 360 seems to fix it. I am using the the latest version on an up to date Mac.

1 - Frame2 - Stacked Frame3 - Drawing of Stacked Frame, needs updating4- how?

Hi @meini67S3F

I see there are 3 files

3000 x 800.f3d

Stacked.f3z (3 Instances of "3000 x 800.f3d" inserted as a external reference)

Stacked Drawing.f2d (Drawing created from Stacked)

So, in your case, When you make changes in the file "3000 x 800.f3d", you have to first get updates for the file "Stacked.f3z" and save.

Then you should be able to see "Get Latest" command on the Quick access toolbar for "Stacked Drawing.f2d".

This is expected behaviour.
