I want fusion to access more of my computer. Right not it only uses around 8gb of my RAM and I'm always under 15% cPU usage. I have 32Gb, a Ryzen 9 5950X and a 4090. I work with assemblies over 2000 components and need the extra umpf. Any way to do this/allow fusion to?

If not, can you update the software so we can access all the processing power of modern hardware. Fusion is such a good program and I don't want to switch to another CAD software.

No. The problem is that many of the geometry algorithms that Fusion uses are inherently single-threaded. Modern CPUs get their power primarily with multiple CPU cores. So, when you see a maximum of 15% CPU usage, that means that you likely have a 6 or 8 core machine.

"If not, can you update the software so we can access all the processing power of modern hardware.": easier said than done. Converting complex computational geometric algorithms to use multi threading is a very difficult task.

I'm currently working with an assembly with around 1400 components. And 15-20% is maximum usage when I move the model around insanely fast.

I know the professional version of fusion is very expensive. I feel if people are paying hundreds of dollars a month. Fusion should be able to use all of your hardware. Or is the paid version completely different to the hobbyist version?

A) The commercial license to Fusion is around $550 a year (of course, Extensions do cost additional $$)

B) No, performance between licenses is the same
