When running a cloud-based analysis, can I close the file and have the analysis continue?

When running a cloud-based analysis, can I close F360 and have the analysis continue?

When I start a static sim, I typically don't want to sit and wait 4-6 hours for it to run. When I close the file I get a message "Cloud-based analysis is running in the background." Ok, cool, whatever. But when I reopen the file (sometimes in a new start of F360, sometimes on a different computer) I find no results, and asking to display the job status gives me a message "Do you want to start the analysis?"

What? Isn't the analysis still running in the background?

If so, then tell me the status of the problem.

If not, why isn't it continuing? Why am I losing all this time?

You can close the file or Fusion while the analysis is running.

You should get a notification when it is complete.

Thank for your reply, TheCADWhisperer.

Can you explain why the analysis usually, often, regularly stops when I close the file and/or F360?

Once in a great while I get a notification when the analysis is complete, but only if I'm still on F360 and the file is still open. More often I have to revisit the file and click "show results," Any idea why this isn't consistent behavior?

No, I cannot share my work with the community without violating NDAs with my clients.

However, the specific file doesn't seem to matter.

If the file isn't open, and/or F360 isn't open, the analysis frequently gets abandoned.

My question is why does this happen? Is it supposed to happen? Is the system designed to only pay attention to those who are actively online to reduce server load? Is there some sort of secret setting, switch (or knowing Autodesk, a payment) for continuing to work on an analysis when the file and/or F360 is closed?
