Attached you will find your box and lid which I have joined together parameters. You will only need to change three parameters as show in the Screen Capture below. I also added a Slider Joint to the lid so you can open and close it to a maximum of 3".

If you have questions, please ask. I had to modify your modeling order to make it a bit easier. The main thing was to move your fillets and chamfers to the end of the design which is good practice UNLESS they are part of the modeling process.

Good afternoon,

I am sort of new to CAD design and I want to learn how to associate two or more bodies when designing assemblies. My goal would be able to make a change on one part and have the related surfaces or sizes change on the mating or joined part. Think of tool making, if I change the size of the outside of the mold base, I would want all the plates to change, not just one. How do I set that up? Is it even possible?

(Start with something simple.)

Hello,

I do have a project that I have drawn up, it's basically a box with a lid. I want to be able to adjust size and have the change affect both parts. Thank you for the help.
