After the most recent update to Fusion, the manufacturing workspace won't detect available components when selecting the "Nest" function. This is including assemblies that were nesting just fine before the update.

What's strange is that when accessing the "Sources" tab, we can see all of our components and their flat patterns. We have all of the appropriate components pre-selected to nest in the Utilities tab as well. Nothing has changed with our process, the only difference is the update to Fusion.

As far as our assemblies are concerned, they consist of sheet metal and solid body components, no meshes. The solid bodies are set to be automatically ignored when using the nesting function.

I am experiencing the same issue. The interesting part is that it will nest my model, which is made out of plywood, but fails when I try to use sheet metal. It claims that no components are available to nest, when I click to add the components, the nest window is greyed out.

I have been reliably using sheet metal objects for nesting for 3 years now, and only recently started running into this issue.

We have found a reliable workaround for the dreaded "There are no components available to nest" error. This is will get the job done in the interim, but it's still not ideal.

Save your assembly, then create a new blank file. Go straight into the manufacturing tab, and open "Sources". In the upper left corner of the Sources window, there's a + symbol. Click the "+" and select your desired assembly. It'll process for a short while, then the list will populate with all the parts from your assembly. Click "ok", and the Sources window will close.

From there, you can go straight into the "Nest" tab and generate your nest.

Hope this helps!
