Possible to resize data panel?

Isn't it possible to make the data panel on the left wider, or I am just unable to find the correct location to drag? The panel is too narrow for the complete part names to show for some parts, making them difficult to find or see which one it is.

This is further complicated by that partial part names do not expand as a tool tip when hovering over them, like some software do. Is it possible to see the complete part name without opening the part?

The Data Panel cannot be resized. The only way I can think of, to read a long file name, from the Data Panel without opening the file, is to right click on the file name and choose Rename from the context menu. You can scroll the full name and then just left click outside to kill the Rename process. Home, End and Arrow keys work for easy scrolling.

Is there a place to submit a request to make resizing possible?

Its like being stuck in MS-DOS era, just with slightly more characters than the 8+3.

Its a hassle continously having to click rename file to find the version of the file you're looking for.

Some people use Fusion for clients and are bound by the file name convention of the client.

sorry for hijacking the post but was just looking for a solution for this exact bug.

If you use the "Open on the Web" button (top right of the data panel, looks like a globe) the project will open in a web browser and you can see the full names and other details. When you have found the part you want you can use the "Open in Desktop" button to open it in Fusion.

the number of characters still very limited for long file names. I can't rename files provided by Clients, and usually, I have to add further descriptions to them when I work on them.

It would be great to have a proper solution for this!

Come on Autodesk!!!

That is what I have been doing, but it is very inconvenient, and you could accidentally edit the file name.

Seems to me that it should be a proper not too hard solution to this problem from Autodesk.

Thanks!

There is a wish list or whatever for this problem, starting in 2018.

A hover text with the full file name would do a lot of good.
