You have all you need to make it work, but you are not using them.

You went to the trouble of making body 9, and then did not use it.

Move Body 33 and Body 35 ahead of the Loft.

Hide the sketches.

Loft the edge of Body 35 to Body 33, making sure you switch on Tangent condition, for those profiles (removes the triangle gap).

Turn on the rail sketches and select them to complete the Loft.

Stitch those 3 bodies.

Thicken 2mm inside or outside, both work.

When done you can discard your Loft.

Might help....

Just starting to get into Fusion 360 and attempting my first more complex model, so appologies in advance if i am missing something simple.

I am creating a model which will be 3D printed, however i am stuck on trying to give the surfaces some thickness (2mm to the outside). The loft and the extrudes seem to both work fine however when i attempt to give the lofted surface some thickness i get one of a few errors depending on what method i use.

If i select all 3 surfaces at once and try to thicken them, i get "There was a problem joining geometry"

If i thicken each suface individually it works ok, however when i try to combine i get the same error as above.

If i first stitch all surfaces together and then try to thicken i get an error " The operation could not create a valid result."

I belive i can see the problem, the thicken of the lofted suface isnt parallel to the other body i want to join it to but i have no idea why. If i do a section analysis i can see a tiny v-shaped gap that i am unable to work out how to resolve. I have tried adding perpendicular contraints to my rails but it doesnt seem to help so i must be missing something.

I have attached the model if anybody has any ideas. Thanks in advance.

Thanks for taking the time to reply! Im not sure I quite understand what you mean by "switch on Tangent condition". I was able to follow most of your instructions but i still get the same error so i am guessing its the Tanget Condition that is messing me up.

Profile section, drop down menu, needed for both profiles.

Only becomes available when selecting body edges. Do not use the sketch for the extrude, for these two.

Might help.....

Thank you for your patience, that did the trick! I didnt realize there was a difference between slecting body edges vs sketches. Definately have alot more learning to go but appreciate your help.
