Align T-spline "edit form" manipulator to an axis

Hello,

I'm working with a form which I need to modify by translating its edges perpendicularly to a plane, I have the plane and a perpendicular axis with its intersection point as you can see in the first image. When using the edit form option, the manipulator is aligned with the coordinate origin of the file, if I change the pivot, I can only select the point on the axis to change the manipulator origin to that position, but it is still aligned with the file's origin coordinates X, Y and Z, as it can be seen in picture 2.

Is there any way I can orientate one axis of the manipulator to a custom axis as the one I already have?

I can't move the object so it is aligned with the file's coordinate system, so far what I'm doing is to change the manipulator origin to the intersection point between the axis and the plane, and then manually rotating the X-axis of the manipulator around X, Y and Z, to align it to the axis I want, but it doesn't get precisely aligned even using the angles that the measurement tool gives me.

There are toggle controls in the edit form Dialogue Box for that, I don’t use them so can’t take it much further for you.

Thanks for your replay @davebYYPCU, but unfortunately, I can't find any option to orientate the manipulator in that dialogue box, I let a screenshot of that box here:

Third row down from the top,

Coordinate space icons. One of those will do what you asked for, but as said, I haven’t used them.

The first button makes the manipulator to be aligned with the origin coordinate system, the second one aligns it with the current view, the third one is according to the selection, it would serve if I intend to transform perpendicularly to a plane along the edge I want to modify as far as I understand it, and the last one depends on the selected entities of the form, but there is no option to align the manipulator with the custom axis I want.

Your picture shows a highlighted ring of a cylinder,

The manipulator can be aligned to that selection, not the axis.

Yes, however, the project I'm working in is about manipulating aneurysms geometries, the cylinder was just an example. With the aneurysms I do not have any symmetry nor it is aligned with the necking plane which would be the plane that is perpendicular to the axis I want to align the manipulator.

The manipulator can align to geometry articles, not construction articles.

Other than that, I have idea what you just said.
