It turns out I had this Fusion account linked to my old email address - I set this up through my school/student account so I thought (with high certainty) that this would have been attached to that email address (which would make sense on my end in case something like this ever happened, heh). It turns out, it wasn't of course. Thank you for your explanation on that - it made me reconsider a different login that I was nearly 100% certain wasn't the case for a lot of extenuating reasons.

THANK YOU COMMUNITY!!!! Especially Günther and Phil on this one. Sorry for the unfounded panic.

Lost Everything

Hello Community,

I've lost everything. Countless hours of work on Fusion 360. I went to bed yesterday and woke up today and clicked on my Fusion 360 desktop icon and it redirected me to a website to sign-in to my Fusion 360. I thought that seemed odd, as it will usually just start right up and get me in there. At this point I restarted my computer to make sure I refreshed everything in the hopes that it would start right up and log me into my account. Now here's the weird thing - this time I had actually used the sign-in (figured it just wanted to verify my account or something) that it took me to via a web browser for autodesk sign-in, and this time I decided to log in using my student account ID and password which I always have since I'm a student - but it started a brand new account for me. Meaning it accepted my account ID and password and started a brand new account for me. What happened to my old one? I was basically forced to do this 'path' since it wasn't giving me any other options when I would click on my desktop icon - it would just open up the sign-in browser. This is the most awful thing I've ever experienced in my life with the amount of hours I've put into this. How can I recover my account? I could throw up that's how many hours I've lost due to this. (I'm adding this to this post - I don't have an option to recover my account via profile.autodesk.com/security - I'm currently logged into the 'new' account, so there isn't a recovery I can do in this way from what I can see.)

Hi,

I think that something went wrong with the new sign in process and suspect that @jeff_strater and/or @Phil.E can say something about it.

@g-andresen what happened was @donald.brobst2 created a new account which will naturally have no design data in it.

The old account must have a different login email address because the system does not allow you to create more than one account with any one email address. This has happened many times over the years, when someone creates a new account and finds it empty. The system hasn't ever once been the source of the confusion, every time it's the creation of a new account that is the problem. The usual remedy is to look into the customer accounts and figure out which one is the old one and which is the new one.

The way this sentence reads, it sounds like there are already more than one account for @donald.brobst2
"this time I decided to log in using my student account ID and password"

What do you normally do, not "this time"?
