Hi,

no..I use fusion and Prusa since at least 5-6 years right now weekly/daily going to tools 3d print…then in the upcoming window I have prusa slicer selected as usual chose the model/part click on „ok“ and it opens prusa slicer. It still works with everything I import into fusion.
Another guy in prusa forum has the same issue since Ventura 13.3.1.

As I am totally into prusa slicer, Fusion slice option is not my thing.

Thanks!

Hello,

since two days (I updated my IMac to MacOS Ventura 13.3.1) I can no longer export my own models via "3D print" into any slicer. For several years...no problem at all. What happens:

I have set Prusa Slicer (tried different versions) path into "3D print" menue. As soon as I hit "ok" it opens the prusa g-code viewer (of course with no model in it...only the program) where it normally shoud open the prusa slicer to show the stl model.

When I set the Cura path instead it opens Cura but shows nothing.

Weired thing is, that any model I originally imported (form thingiverse or prusa printables) works totally as it should...means just opens the slicers to go on.

I really don't know if this is an fusion or MacOS issue. Friend of mine with same OS works fine. I found another guy in prusa forum having the same problem...can't contact him to see if he made it somehow.

My Fusion is online, reinstalled and Mac has the prusa slicer (standard) to open stl's.

I tried everything that came to my mind...no I need help please!

How are you accessing the "3D Print" option? I ask because, as I understand it, there are a few ways of getting to that option. I want to make sure I'm replicating your steps as accurately as possible.

Attempt one: Right click on Body in the Design Space and select "Save as Mesh". This now gives me an option to send to an external slicer, of which I would choose Prusa Slic3r (I do have a Prusa). This works, and the model is brought in:

Now, I'm on PC at the moment, so I will need to test on Mac later. First, let's see what steps you take and we'll go from there

I'd be remiss if I didn't ask one question further; why send to an external slicer instead of processing it in Fusion, since we have the technology to do slicing in the MFG workspace?

(there's no wrong answer to this, I'm just trying to learn more about our customers needs)

Okay, following those step on PC, it (Prusa) launches just fine. So that narrows us down to a Mac issue. Give me some time to fire up my MBP and get Fusion/Prusa updated

Do you know if your friend is also on Ventura 13.3.1? Looking at my MBP, it's on 13.2.1, so I'll run the tests with Fusion and Prusa "as is" and then update my OS and try again

Can confirm. MacOS 13.3.1, PrusaSlicer 2.4.

If the name of the body you want to send to PrusaSlicer contains a German ä, ö or ü it doesn't work.
