Okay, I reinstalled fusion and now I can see the thumbnails properly, but it doesn't update the preview window, and they all have a white background, not transparent as in the screenshot you posted, I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong.

Pretty much what the title says, I think it would be very helpful to have previews (thumbnails) of .f3d files stored on our local machines. I have copies of most of my projects saved locally as a backup, or for when I don't have a connection, and it would be helpful to be able to view a small preview of the model when selected in Windows Explorer, or even in the builtin file explorer that you can pick from when importing or opening from the file menu. Many programs do this for .stl and .step and even complex files like .blend files, one is ironically called "F3D", but none display a preview for '.f3d' Fusion360 archive files because (obviously) its a proprietary format. Would be a nice feature to add and would speed up any workflow dealing with sneakernet or local storage. Thanks!

Hi @sean_mignosa, we actually have this functionality already. Could another app or shell extension be interfering?

It could be the version of Fusion you are working with. I believe the transparency was added more recently, and may require the UI Themes preview to be enabled.
