If you want to extract the problem sketch into a DXF, you can create a new sketch from extruded surfaces from the original. It is a little extra work but it will give you a sketch that will work. Create a DXF from Sketch 5 and it will be fine. Model attached.

Missing spline when exporting sketch as DXF

I have a sketch with several splines. When I export that sketch as a DXF, the result is missing one of the splines. This can be seen by reimporting the DXF back into F360.

I have attached two screenshots, one showing the original sketch that I have exported to DXF. The other shows what the sketch looks like when the DXF is imported back into F360.

Here is a link to the design so you can try it yourself. It's Sketch2 that is the issue. https://a360.co/3pB4vH1

Am I doing something wrong? Thanks for any help that can be provided.

Thanks a lot for the reply. That is a valid workaround.

Is the "Save Sketch as DXF" feature broken? Why does it work on the sketch from extruded surface and not from the original sketch?

Thank you for the tips on the forum replies.

The shape of the contour. For a polyline to be close to the shape of the spline, it needs relatively high resolution. Which then means performing operations (such as offsetting) to that geometry take along time and can have non smooth (faceted) results.

I'm also more interested in working out what is going wrong with saving the sketch to DXF in the first place rather than a workaround. In future, I'd like to be able to use the "Save sketch as DXF" feature and have it work rather than requiring add ins or changing geometry or the extra steps of jhackney1972's solution.

We all would like the Save As DXF command to work on "every" sketch but sometimes it is impossible to find what is causing the error. In this case the command did not work on the your original sketch but did work on a projected sketch in my solution. This would indicate, at least to me, that the original sketch may be the culprit. I believe you should have a backup method or process for most any operation so if the first method, which you think should work, fails you have a backup plan to get the job done. There will always be exceptions, always be prepared to solve them with a different methods for these exceptions.
