One simulation in 5 hours

Over a period of five hours i was able to achieve one successful simulation. I made multiple attempts, at least six attempts, where i would click to start the simulation, the cursor would turn into an hourglass, nothing would happen, and no matter what i clicked, nothing happenned. The only solution was to turn the computer off.

I just tried again this morning and its the same issue. The cursor turns into an hourglass and nothing happens, and i can click on anything on the fusion screen but nothing happens. The only way to restore fusion is to restart the computer (or open fusion in another window).

Customers of fusion had made large investments of time in learning the program, and then they will likely create designs that may not be readily transferrable to another program. Fusion is abusing their customers by making fusion so unreliable, by deleting good features, by creating so many flaws, etc.

I have been on my computer for 7 hours today and so far have achieved 1 simulation.

Sorry to hear about the issue.

When you try simulating a box with a load and constraint are you able to solve fine? We are trying to find out if its a specific case that is having issues or if all simulation solves. Thanks

That is great news

Is it possible to upload the model here? Next we need to check if the model is setup correctly.

You could just send us the log files by clicking on the Diagnostic Log Files command

You could try clicking on DOF view to see if it shows green.

When you click on the Pre-check command in Simulation for the model that is having the problem, does it show a green check mark?

I pre-checked each time. Most of the time the model and the load case, everything, has been the same, i have simply been trying the same scenario until it solves the study or continues to fail to do anything.

You need to listen to what i am saying. I am not saying it tries to solve the study and comes back with a fail.

I am saying that immediately upon me clicking on the solve button, the screen freezes, the cursor turns into an hourglass, nothing is clickable, nothing happens even if i leave it for an hour. The only solution is to restart the computer.

I just tried to simulate again and it is the same, the screen is just freezing.

If i click on the bell i get this. So this suggests it thinks it has successfully started the study. But like i said, i have left it with the screen frozen numerous times, and once for at least an hour, and it never solves. It only solved those two times recently, and each time the screen did not freeze, the solve started pretty much immediately.
