Mac says Fusion 360 is already installed, but is not on my computer anywhere

I tried to download Fusion 360 and the download manager kept crashing. I deleted the files, then tried to download again. Now, the download manager says "Latest version already installed. You already have the latest version of Fusion 360 installed on this system. Would you like to start Fusion 360?". Whether I click Yes or No, nothing happens. I saw a support post saying to repair the Service Utility, but that is no where on my computer. I cannot find any files or applications related to Fusion 360 on my computer. I am using a 2020 MacBook Pro, running Ventura 13.3.1

@MKK47 If you go to launchpad, do you see Fusion in there? If you do does launching from there work?

Go to Finder - Go - Go to folder - /Users/YOUR USER ID/Library/Application Support

Do you see an Autodesk folder in there and if so do you see the Fusion 360 folder in it?

Yes, I see an Autodesk folder that contains a Fusion 360 folder. These are the contents of the Fusion 360 folder.

@MKK47 So Fusion is certainly installed. Lets do this:

1. Go to Finder - Go - Go to folder - ~/Applications/
2. This will take you to where the Fusion 360 launcher is
3. Do you see the Fusion 360 launcher and also Fusion 360 service utility?

If you can launch the service utility and then run "Repair Fusion 360" this should get everything in place.

@MKK47 OK. It looks like an incomplete install happened. Can you please remove the entire Autodesk folder and then restart your machine, now try an install? This should take care of it.

Hi,

I have the same problem when installing Fusion on mac, but I can't find anything in related to Autodesk/Fusion in the applications folder.

How can I proceed?

@laurens_v_bussel If you go into Launchpad do you see Fusion in there? If you do, then do the following:

1. If Fusion is running close it
2. Delete the shortcut if you have to Fusion
3. Go to Launchpad - Launch Fusion service utility

4. Run the Repair Fusion

This should set everything right for you.

1. If you go into your application folder do you see Fusion there?
2. When you run the installer do you see a message that Fusion is already installed? If you say run it what version of Fusion launches?
3. When it launches can you of into activity monitor and fins Fusion360.exe and find out where this is located?

1. no, not in the applications folder

2. Yes, I see the message. But when I click open nothing happens, the installer just shuts

3. Since it doesn't run I can't find the .exe in activity monitor.

1 Go to /Users/user/Library/Application Support (Finder - Go - go to folder - /Users/your user name/Library/Application Support/)
2 Delete the Autodesk folder
3. Delete the shortcut that you use to launch Fusion
4. Restart your machine
5. Now install Fusion again.

I found the solution, the autodesk folder was hidden. When I deleted it, I could run a new installation

I have tried these steps and do not see the Autodesk or fusion file anywhere.. I even found how to reveal hidden folders within the system and do not see the files.. However, when I try to download I am still getting the dreaded message that its already installed

Please help.. have been on chat several times trying to get this fixed
