Will F360 ever stop crashing?

Why do you want me to pay for something crashing so often? You declare increase in productivity, but I spend quite a time solving issues with F360. Today I sketched a rectangle and a circle inside of it. I am not able to dimension the position of that circle as "it would be overconstrained" and I can place driven-dimension only. Now the F360 is just an overpriced sketcher.

Hi,

This can happen if the circle was randomly placed at a certain point.
Please show your process in a screencast and share the file.

File > export > save as f3d on local drive > attach to post

I know what you mean. It wasn’t constraining/snapping to anything. I tried it a couple of times in different positions watching for any lines and constrains with no difference. I even tried to draw a simple line and dimension it and the probelm was the same. I deleted the whole sketch and drew it again. Then it worked.

That was a mistake.

You should have Attached your *.f3d file here so that the foundational issue could be diagnosed and remedied.

When I criticize Fusion - I provide concrete proof.

I can tell you that I can't remember the last time Fusion crashed on me.

(There was time years ago when this was every day.)

Can you Attach one of your favorite projects that you are most (or even least) proud of?

Could you please attach this model? If you do not know how to attach your Fusion 360 model follow these easy steps. Open the model in Fusion 360, select the File menu, then Export and save as a F3D or F3Z file to your hard drive. Then use the Attachments section, of a forum post, to attach it.

What is all that stuff just out for view at the top of the screenshot?

I see a lot of blue lines and white dots.
What about the Timeline? Are there any unresolved issues highlighted?

Attach your evidence here and end all doubt.

You have an error before you draw the line. The pattern is showing an error and that might be blocking any more dimensions you're trying to add.

Hi, thanks for constructive reply. I found it right after posting it. But would never expect that this could be a cause. It went as this - I drew a circle, then rectangular pattern (in one line) and then trimmed the intersecting parts of circles. That was what the pattern disliked

It is not necessary to pattern circles.

Pattern Features, Faces or Bodies is more computationally efficient.

Blue lines and white dote should keep you awake at night - ask more questions.
