Wrap toolpath

Hi all

I don't have the rotary extension. I want to use the wrap tool path in my Fusion 360. I am using my Fusion 360 to design molds for my big game lures to mill on my CNC machine. I have a 4 axis machine with the 4th rotary axis on the x axis.

This is a fish head inner part of a marlin lure. It will be cast inside the head of the lure. I need to to mill this . I can't get the cylinder to run on the x axis....the way it should be. If this is not possible to do in wrap tool path then i must find another way. The extensions is to expensive for my that will only use rotary for maybe 3-4 times a year

Wrap toolpath only works for cylindrical components, which this one doesn't seem to share any similarities.

It looks like the answer for you would be a 3 axis toolpath in multiple Setups.

Based on your images, I'm seeing 3 mill operations;

1) Establish the end "square-ish" section and qualify some outer dimensions

2) Machine one side as deep as possible

3) Machine some soft jaws, hold onto what's been machined and finish the second side.

Now, there may be some geometry that prevents that from actually working. Would you be able to share your Fusion file here or privately?
File > Export > Save to local folder, return to thread and attach the .f3d file in your reply. To share the file privately, it's the same process, but email it to me: seth DOT madore AT autodesk DOT com

Export only gives me the one option of .f3z. ???? and it is not working

.F3Z is a valid file, that just means you have linked components or a Machine Configuration (and machine) in the Setup.

So, looking at your file, the first question I have is; what's the material and how many of these do you plan on making?

I would mill it out of aluminum. This aluminum peace will be my master that i will make a silicon mold of. This mold i will use to cast many inners with for eventually the inners will be decorated and cast into the lure heads.
