    <description>&lt;P&gt;The ribs are properly attached to the body before the intersect operation though. Why does the intersect cause the ribs to become detached?&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <title>Intersect ignores part of a body and bodies refuse to combine</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;See the attached file. The last operation is an intersect extrusion meant to isolate a part of a body to conduct a 3D printing test. Inside the hollow cylinder are 2 crush ribs that should have been included as part of the intersect operation but didn't.       <description>&lt;P&gt;Even if they do have overlaps, it is still the same bug. That is a persistent bug that goes away, and comes back almost if by design.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Thank you for spotting that. Selecting the whole circle when creating the crush ribs is a sufficient workaround for the issue.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Indeed, the intersect does not allow selecting the crush ribs as objects to cut despite them being within the selection. Selecting the other side of the circles made to create the crush ribs is a workaround, but you're right it should work without selecting the other side.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

&lt;P&gt;In my view, this is not a workaround, especially when creating a negatively tapered body.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Such behavior can easily occur with tangential "contacts".&lt;/P&gt;
