Sheet metal - flat pattern bug.

If you have for example this contour (circle in circle -picture under) sketched on front plane, and you just want flat pattern (dxf countour) = you get countour from top plane.

I do not see a *.f3d file or a *.dxf file Attached here to illustrate the issue.

Start a New Sketch on the face of the part.

P for Project and select the Face (not an edge).

Finish Sketch.

Right click on the newly created sketch and Save As dxf.

Tip: For something that simple you probably could have done the same from the original sketch.

Here is no problem create a dxf.

Problem is bug.

Hi,

You only provide a top view, but nothing in 3d.

Please share the f3d file as @TheCADWhisperer has requested.

File > export > save as f3d on local drive > attach to post

Model is sketched on FRONT PLANE !

If you now make a flatt patern, for exporting a dxf, u automaticly get on top plane (bug).

But if you for example make a square in midle of circle, you get the right selected view/plane !

You can test for yourself.

Yes, attach your *.f3d and resulting *.dxf files here so that I can test for myself.

Do you have your Fusion set up so that Z axis is up or do you have set so that Z axis is Front?
