I tried three time to recompute simple model on Mac mini m4 pro with 64GB of ram and 10gb/s network card and every time fusion utilize 100% of CPU and 8.88GB of ram and it stuck at 84% recomputing forever and I had to force quit fusion because it never end last time I leave it for 1 day and half more than 36HR and it did not finish this is absurd and I cannot work like this. I remove fusion and reinstall it also I try to repair fusion, I tried to work offline nothing seems to work. I need a solution and my model is 3 sketches and 23 feature in the timeline ?!!! I wonder if I had to work on more complex model !!

first of all, thank you so much Jeff for reply and trying to help but unfortunately, I cannot share the model but I find out that pattern feature cross plate 60cm x 40cm x 0.25cm of 1/4" thread holes with offset -by (-0.1) for 3d print thread accuracy- and drift from both side is what takes fusion days to recalculate on m4 pro when I configure the plate from 16cm x 16cm x 0.25cm (with 361 thread hole) to 60cm x 40cm x 0.25cm (with 4293 thread hole) fusion keep 100% CPU for 2 days without finish computing. I wonder if I have complex mechanical model like a motor with different thread size and tons of parts that I need to have two or three configuration for it?!! or if there are another modeling method I should use to achieve my 3D print goals with fusion because I tried to not model the threads and then before sent the model to printer to model the threads and I have the same issue ?

Hi,

Check your setting:

1. Features > try Compute type "Optimized" or "Identical" > avoid "Adjust" !!!!

2. "Faces" works fine

I assume you used modeled threads instead of cosmetic threads to create a 3D printable object. A model with over 300 modeled threads is a model with an enormous amount of geometry, as modeled threads are internally stored as NURBS surfaces. That is a complex model, as each thread geometry cannot be instanced but has to be stored as separate geometry.

4500 instances
1. Features > Optimized = 36 s
2. Faces = 33 s
