Today I seems to have a lot of problems doing some basic modeling using circles and revolve tool.

For some reason the circles don't seem nice and curved anymore but seem all a lower polygone version.

I had 2 concentric solids with fins in between, and decided to revolve cut out the first 5 mm of the fins, but that left me with fins that still had a tiny wall not cut away.

I decided to look into my sketch if the fin lines where nicely connected to the circle lines, but there I also saw some strange out of alignment snapping/rendering :

Overview, fin joining the circle on the inside :

But when I zoom in I see this :

The white circle line is what I drew. But there seems to be a 2nd transparant blue line that my white fin line actually snaps to instead of my drawn white circle line. If I hover over with my mouse, it also selects the field following the strange blue line.

What is happening here? Why does it seem as if my sketched circle is ignored and another circle is generated and actually used for calculating/rendering?

The extruded fins using the "fin" geometry in the sketch also show the same solid overlap :

Do I do something wrong? How can I make fins in between 2 concentric solid rings that follow the ring curves on the ends instead of leaving gaps or having overlapping solids?

Update :

Ok, I might have made a dumb mistake. I forgot I projects the fin surface instead of the center of the fin in line with the center of the circles, what ofcourse is going to give an in-accurate cutting profile :

I do however still see the incorrect visualization of the sketch lines what made me directly assume that was the problem.

I guess this is just the way how Fusion deals with visualizing 3D object the best it can, witch can be in-accurate to the calculated 3D objects? Is it normal to not see the sketch lines not accurately connect to your own circle sketch lines, but actually render a transparant blue line to witch the lines actually snap to? Making you thing something funky is going on?

You could have just used Sketch1 and extrude cut rather then create another sketch and revolve. Also are you creating one body or do you want all the bodies unjoined?

Also note, for your revolve method you could have used midplane rather then splitting the body in half.

So the modeling problem I have is already solved. But my confusion with not connecting sketch lines is not.

Does someone know why I get ghost renders of lines?
