You can just toggle the sketch visible again to reuse it. You might want to set your preferences so sketches don't auto hide. Also why not just edit the original extrude rather than create another one?

I am an experienced SolidWorks user transitioning to Fusion. The problem I am having is modifying a cut extrusion. After generating the cut and proceeding with several other sketches, I used the section feature to determine that the cut depth was too shallow. The only way I can see to do this is to copy the original sketch to a new one and then delete the original sketch.

A more general question is whether the Create operations can only be applied to the most recent sketch?

It seems my issue was not understanding the visibility option for sketches, a pretty vital concept it appears. With the given sketch set not visible, I was not able to select the extrusion circles. Once I clicked it visible, all was gold, and I can reproduce the extrude operation with a greater distance.

I have been using Fusion for all of 3 days and have been able to reproduce a half dozen relatively complex parts successfully that were originally done in SW. It's been quite intuitive. All of these parts are for printing, so I haven't needed to investigate joints as yet.

Rather than making another post, the other difference that I find bothersome is construction lines. Is there a way to draw them without first drawing a normal line and then selecting to make the change?

"Is there a way to draw them without first drawing a normal line and then selecting to make the change?"

Yes, it works just like the Bold/Italic/Underline toggle in Word. If nothing is selected, the toggle specifies the type for new sketch geometry created after the toggle:

<video-js data-video-id="6337444825112" data-account="6057940548001" data-player="default" data-embed="default" class="vjs-fluid" controls="" data-application-id="" style="width: 100%; height: 100%;"></video-js>
(view in My Videos)
