This seems to be related to when you have a 12 layer linked PCB. As soon as I hid the visibility of the only two 12 layer PCBs, the section view works fine. This seems like a bug that's causing fusion to crash. Would be nice if someone from fusion can look into this.

I am trying to view an assembly in section view mode and as soon as I move my view around, it crashes several times now. I'm on a:

MacBook Pro
2.8 GHz Quad-Core Intel Core i7
Intel Iris Plus Graphics 655 1536 MB
16 GB 2133 MHz LPDDR3

This issue is extremely annoying and I'm unable to continue my work. I already submitted 2 reports via the crash reporting tool. Edit: Just happened for a 3rd time. My report ID is 719976139

Guess no one from fusion 360 is going to look into this bug. Explains why this software is so buggy.

Hi,

Thanks for sending in your crash reports. Crash reports are monitored by an automatic system and unfortunately most of your reports (from September and October 2023) are force quits with little information. The crash reporting inside Fusion didn't have an opportunity to run during the events.

I did see a recent crash related to 3Dconnexion drivers. You should have gotten an email from Fusion360 Crash Support with instructions how to get the latest drivers from 3Dconnexion. This might be the core issue related to most of your recent crashing.

Please let me know if the problem goes away after updating the 3Dconnexion drivers, and do keep sending in the crash reports - including force quits. The system works better when it can measure your crash rates.
