The process I describe in the video is time consuming but it was the best I could come up with. I hope someone else finds a faster method. As I mentioned in the video, I did not activate each component as I added features due to time constraints, I let them accumulate in the top level including the sketch. I can see you will do this because of your clean time line. Model is attached.

<video-js data-video-id="6338956957112" data-account="6057940548001" data-player="default" data-embed="default" class="vjs-fluid" controls="" data-application-id="" style="width: 100%; height: 100%;"></video-js>
(view in My Videos)

Hello,

How do I modify the pillar body on the attached screenshot, so I can fillet parts of the selected edge (marked in red) above and below the area where the planks meet (that part should remain sharp)?

Thanks for any pointers.

You gave me an idea. Because the fillet is actually a cut I'll be making with a router bit, I need to think of it that way. Is there a simple way to do that in the Manufacture Workspace perhaps? Many thanks.

here is a simpler approach, but does not generate as nice geometry as @jhackney1972 's method does. This is the usual way that we approach partial edge fillet. The basic idea is to split the body where you want the fillet to stop, apply the fillet, then re-join the body.

You could also use a variable-radius fillet that tapers down to zero near where it joins, but that requires a fair amount of "eye-balling" where the point is, and, IMO, is not worth the effort.
