Thanks, but I did try each of those options and rebooted the software each time...

They all behaved exactly the same on this project even openGL 😞

I wish I could remember when it started. Was it when I bought the workhorse desktop, when I upgraded to win11 or just maybe after a Fusion360 update.

But it is just with the shadows. If I go to Graphics Diagnostics and click on "Limit Effects to Optimize Performance" the shading goes away and so does the pixelation, but My graphics card is more than powerful enough to handle this and so is the PC itself... The file is not heavy, and the computer is not using much of its available resources. Graphics are super smooth when rotating with my 3d mouse... That was always the first indicator of a bogged system on my laptop. Here it is as smooth as can be. I can't see any reason for bad graphics unless there is a problem in the software.

Is this something I should look for a 1 on 1 with tech support over the phone or is this the type of issue that would usually get resolved on the forum? I've rarely needed tech support so I'm not sure what is the best way to go about this.

Im not sure when this started so it might have to do with an update, but I keep getting very nice live rendering on one side of my part but extremely low res pixelated shadows on the opposite side. I am using a new computer with what I thought was a huge upgrade in every way from my laptop. The computer handles my files with ease but I thought the upgraded video card would give me better graphics (or at least the same ones). I tried switching to all three graphic driver options in preferences. I also downloaded the latest RTX A2000 12GB driver (537.58)... nothing helped

my settings for fusion:

[GPU Information]
GPU Device: NVIDIA RTX A2000 12GB
GPU RAM: 12160 MB
GPU Driver API: DirectX 11.0
GPU Driver Version: 537.58
GPU Driver Date: 10/05/2023

[Graphics Effects Settings]
Anti Aliasing: On
Ambient Occlusion: On
Object Shadow: On
Ground Shadow: On
Ground Reflection: Off
Selection Display Style: Simple
Transparency Effect: Better Display

[Limit effects to optimize performance]
Off

In the Nvidia control panel I have all of the default settings for fusion360

Here are the graphic card settings:

NVIDIA System Information report created on: 10/12/2023 14:42:33
System name: LFXSFNMPCDT003

[Display]
DirectX version: 12.0
GPU processor: NVIDIA RTX A2000 12GB
Driver version: 537.58
Driver Type: DCH
Direct3D feature level: 12_1
CUDA Cores: 3328
Resizable BAR No
Core clock: 1200 MHz
Memory data rate: 12.00 Gbps
Memory interface: 192-bit
Memory bandwidth: 288.05 GB/s
Total available graphics memory: 77743 MB
Dedicated video memory: 12282 MB GDDR6
System video memory: 0 MB
Shared system memory: 65461 MB
Video BIOS version: 94.06.32.00.19
IRQ: Not used
Bus: PCI Express x16 Gen4
Error Correction Code (ECC): Off
Device Id: 10DE 2571 161117AA
Part Number: G192 0510

[Components]

nvui.dll 8.17.15.3758 NVIDIA User Experience Driver Component
nvxdplcy.dll 8.17.15.3758 NVIDIA User Experience Driver Component
nvxdbat.dll 8.17.15.3758 NVIDIA User Experience Driver Component
nvxdapix.dll 8.17.15.3758 NVIDIA User Experience Driver Component
NVCPL.DLL 8.17.15.3758 NVIDIA User Experience Driver Component
nvCplUIR.dll 8.1.940.0 NVIDIA Control Panel
nvCplUI.exe 8.1.940.0 NVIDIA Control Panel
nvWSSR.dll 31.0.15.3758 NVIDIA Workstation Server
nvWSS.dll 31.0.15.3758 NVIDIA Workstation Server
nvViTvSR.dll 31.0.15.3758 NVIDIA Video Server
nvViTvS.dll 31.0.15.3758 NVIDIA Video Server
nvLicensingS.dll 6.14.15.3758 NVIDIA Licensing Server
nvDevToolSR.dll 31.0.15.3758 NVIDIA Licensing Server
nvDevToolS.dll 31.0.15.3758 NVIDIA 3D Settings Server
nvDispSR.dll 31.0.15.3758 NVIDIA Display Server
nvDispS.dll 31.0.15.3758 NVIDIA Display Server
NVCUDA64.DLL 31.0.15.3758 NVIDIA CUDA 12.2.146 driver
nvGameSR.dll 31.0.15.3758 NVIDIA 3D Settings Server
nvGameS.dll 31.0.15.3758 NVIDIA 3D Settings Server

My guess is you need to go into Fusion 360 Preferences and select "OpenGL" as your graphic driver.
