Tangent line points showing up in sketch and is preventing my design from creating a tool path

I have been going at this simple sketch to post process for 5-6 hours now trying to figure out why it is hanging up.

Something ive noticed is that there is a variety of additional points that are creating tangent lines behind the sketch. pic attached. Can we turn off these extra points from creation? or do i have to go through and deactivate each line? Holy cow is this frustrating haha

Please attach your model. If you do not know how to attach your Fusion 360 model follow these easy steps. Open the model in Fusion 360, select the File menu, then Export and save as a F3D or F3Z file to your hard drive. Then use the Attachments section, of a forum post, to attach it.
