15 MINUTES AVERAGE TO OPEN

On my iMac Imac, 64gb ram, radeon pro 500, 3,7 Ghz 6 core intel, it takes from 5 to 15 minutes to open the software and start to work. takes same time to turn off.

I am scary as I have all my CAM projects for my work on it and I really wish you will one day issue a desktop software without any internet related activity, for professionals.

With nice updates like everybody else does!

Free your community to be slave of the internet malfunctioning and complication!

yes available only for Windows users.
Also does it open files from Rhino?

Without considering the price...out of budget!
I am keen to use Fusion 360 as it is the bridge from my Rhino modelling (waaaaay easier, faster, intuitive, affordable) and the CAM coding, as Fusion is the only CAM software for MAC.
Again I do not see the point to keep it online.

It is what it is. This was the intention since the beginning.

The Fusion product is intended for cloud-based CAD.

Autodesk has other tool that are not.
Pick the tool that suits your needs.

Having said that, the behavior you are observing does not sound like your system is operating correctly. So there should be a solution.

none of them does. There is no Cam software from them that operates for MAC.
I am not the only one complaining about this.
Anyways, there is no point in continue to argue on this.
Even the cloud based operation is a failure if it takes 15 minutes to open when you have a good computer and a 300MB/s connection.
15 minutes is what I waited when I was using Commodore 64 to load video games back in the early '90s.

I work with Fusion 360 as a degreed engineer in a professional engineering environment and also spent a lot of time working with it on complex private projects.

I work in different locations, across different networks. I take my MacBook overseas when I visit Family. I take it to customers for Concept and Proposal presentations.

I work with Fusion 360 on three vary different computers. At work I use a Dell Precision Notebook (6 core Intel). At home I use a PC built around a AMD Ryzen 5950 with 64GB of memory and a NVIDIA 3070ti. For mobile work I use a 2017 MacBook Pro.

I am not dismissing your experience, as others experience this as well, but it definitely isn't common across a large user base. Please share more technical details about your system setup.

While there are disadvantages for using a cloud based CAD solution, as can be seen above there are significant advantages as well, even as an individual user. There are even more advantages for a cloud based solution if you work in a geographically distributed team.

It has been a couple of days now, did you get this figured out?

Usually when someone reports slow behavior it can be tracked to computationally inefficient sketching, but your description sounds different.

An example would at least eliminate the usual issue.

Did you resolve the issue with your computer?

Did you give resolving the issues you are experiencing?

If I just Google the search you suggested -

Q1. How many returns will be users who resolved the issue with their computer but did not report back?

Q2. How many returns will be users who resolved the issue with their sketching techniques but did not report back?

Q3. How many returns will be users who gave up on resolving the issues with their computer or with their sketching techniques?
