Mirror Will not Compute

Not sure why the Mirror function will not compute, I've attached a file to see.

Split the body in half, and then Mirror Body.

I took a slightly roundabout way to get there but it still works. If rather than cutting the extrusion, you say "new Body". You can then mirror those bodies. Then do a combine function and it will be the same.

When you use the Mirror command, make sure you are mirroring Features and you set the Compute Type to "Identical". Model attached.

I did figure out the issue, for some reason when I created the radius on the top and extruded, Fusion allowed the radius to become two separate bodies. I lowered the radius .001 from the top and Mirror functioned. Go figure.

I thought I had a handle on this mirror issue but as it turns out, I do not, can you shed some light on this for me?

I've attached the F3d. What I'm attempting to do is mirror the four panels to the other side of the model. TIA.

I see you used the Emboss function, I was using the Extrude, is that why the mirror would not work for me?

No really. The way you were attempting could have worked but you really went off tangent in your process with all the moving and manipulation. I really did not try and use your method because using the Emboss function was much more straight forward and a much easier workflow.

If you have your heart set on using Extrude, I have attached your model using that method. It requires the creation of an Offset Surface which involves just that much more work. Look for the surface in the timeline. With this method the Mirror uses the Identical Compute Type.

Exploring different methods to arrive at the same result will increase your enjoyment of Fusion 350 plus, a lot of times, make you more efficient.

I see what you're saying, there are many ways to skin the same cat, some much easier than others. I'm just an occasional user and am trying to understand the different work flows. Thanks for your help in my gaining understanding, it's much appreciated!!
