Thanks heaps. I find myself very pressed for time as a full-time carer & the only designer for our Men's Shed. So the only time I get to tackle any of this, & other issues, is when my care is asleep.

Muchly appreciated.

Colin

Hi there. I'm using fixed point splines to make a curved trough & want to make the segments between the spline points parallel to another such adjacent segment, to be selected.

Firstly. Am I approaching this the wrong way?

Secondly. If no, how can I select just the spline segment between the adjacent points as it seems to select the whole spline. Including the return.

Thirdly. I assume that once i achieve the second point then that the parallel tool will work on it.

Kindest regards

Colin

To achieve your layout, I think if may be easier to sketch a center line splice and then offset it twice, one to each side. This will give you a spline sides that are all parallel from the beginning. I may be missing your objective but from what I see and read this is what you want to do.

Thanks for that. It looks like what I'm looking for. Now I just need to learn that process. Have you got any good reference tutorials?

I am not sure what you need besides the basic sketch commands. I have added a video of what I did, maybe it will help. If you need good tutorials to start learning Fusion 360 in general, the self guided tutorials are a good place.

If my Forum post solved your question, please select the "Accept Solution" icon to do three things. First it allows others to find a solution to a similar question, two, it closes the Forum post and last, it acknowledges that you accept the solution given. If you need further help, please ask. If you like to read why "Accept Solutions are important, take a look at this webpage.
