topic Bug blindness in Fusion Support Forum

As a long-time customer, I thought I would post this, even though it will likely be considered off-topic and removed. Yet, I think it should be highly recommended reading for teams working on Fusion:

"Bug blindness": https://danluu.com/bug-blind/https://danluu.com/bug-blind/

I really wish someone at Autodesk can read this and popularize it. The story about Blackboard isn't much unlike what I hear and feel about Fusion.

Just today I opened Fusion and tried to delete a sketch constraint. As I was staring at the somewhat-bluish vs somewhat-less-bluish constraints and trying to figure out which of the three "incident" constraints applies to what, I thought for what must have been a thousandth time: "how could anyone at Autodesk possibly live with this, consider it OK, ship it, and then *keep doing this* for many years?"

I think that article has a pretty good explanation.

For illustration purposes, some of what I'm staring at sometimes, these are from 2022. Things haven't improved much since then. Look at the first picture: if I delete the "highlighted" incident constraint, what will be affected? I don't even know what to say about the second picture.

If I delete the highlighted incident constraint, what will be affected?

What is even going on here?

Thanks for sharing!

I buy the “bug blindness” idea, but the post underplays prioritization. Often, people see the problem clearly enough; they’ve simply decided that other work matters more for one reason or another.
