Need a point in the right direction for some education

Hi,

I am new to Fusion 360. I am trying to help my son who is a welder with a sign project he has. Specifically I am looking for a good tutorial on how to add a svg to a sketch of a circle/square/rectangle so he can do a negative cut out on a plasma table. I don't need instructions for cutting with Fusion 360. I need instructions for adding the svg to a sketch with geometry already in the sketch and saving that as a dxf. I have been hitting youtube pretty hard but cannot quite connect the dots in the tutorials I am finding. A push in the right direction would be very much appreciated!!

Hi,

SVG are normally fixed after import (green). To move or edit them later, you must mark them with the window selection and unfix them. > lock symbol

I would not even do that. I'd rather create geometry and move that, than mess with a dreaded SVG sketch.
