Fusion Sign in won't open a Webbrowser on MacBook Air M4

Hi everyone,

I’m having trouble signing in to Autodesk Fusion 360 on my Mac and I’m stuck at the login step.

When I click “Sign In” inside Fusion 360, it’s supposed to open a browser window for authentication—but nothing happens at all. No browser window opens, no error message, just nothing.

Here’s my setup:

macOS: latest version (Tahoe 26.4.1)

Browser: Safari (set as default)

No VPN, no Pi-hole, no network filtering

What I’ve already tried:

Checked that Safari is set as the default browser

Disabled popup blockers and extensions

Restarted my Mac

Reset Fusion 360 login/cache by removing the “Web Services” folder

Tried switching default browser to Chrome and back to Safari

Verified that macOS isn’t blocking anything in Privacy & Security settings

Signed into Fusion Insider

Manually deleted local Fusion-related files (including something like lockinservice.db)

Used the Fusion Service Utility (Reset & Repair)

I’ve also already spoken with a few support agents via live chat, but they couldn’t resolve the issue. They said they would escalate it to a higher-level support specialist, and since then I’ve been waiting for a response. Unfortunately, I really need to access my files and continue working, which is why I’m posting here now.

One more important detail: this issue only started after I switched to a new Mac about a week ago. On my old Mac, everything still works perfectly.

Still, clicking “Sign In” does absolutely nothing.

Has anyone experienced this before on macOS?
Could this be related to permissions, or Fusion not being allowed to open external links?

Any help or ideas would be really appreciated!

Thanks in advance

Thanks for the suggestion!

I went through the article and specifically followed the “Check Autodesk Identity Manager” section, but unfortunately it didn’t solve the issue.

What I noticed:

AdskIdentityManager is not showing up in the Activity Monitor at all

I also checked the temp directories mentioned, but the related files are not present there either

So it seems like the Identity Manager might not even be running or getting triggered properly on my system.

Any idea why it wouldn’t start or appear at all?

Appreciate the help!

Yes, When you launch Fusion and go to activity monitor, you should see Autodesk identity manager running. Can you close Fusion , restart your Mac and launch Fusion again and see if you see identity manager?
