BOM not updating and properties locked

In a design I created 2 weeks ago, I added a component today. When I try to edit the description of this part it is greyed out and locked. Also the component doesn't show in the BOM function under the management tab.

I am the only user with full Admin rights. also collaborations appears to be working (as checked in the online hub)

In the online BOM the component doesn't show up either.

I'm having same issue. I understand that if I need to change the description of a 'external component' used in a model, I should open the model of that specific component. Make changes to description there. Once tho component is saved, I should be able to sync or update the model using that component and it should then reflect the change.

However, I can't make the description change in either of the 2 models. They are both locked.

How do we made these fields editable again?

This file was created recently (2 weeks ago). It was correct with component descriptions which I use in the parts list of a drawing. Now, the parts list is void of description on the drawing. The components within the model driving the drawing are also void of description info, plus the field is locked. They are all 'internal components' used only within that model.

Also, the properties dialogue box looks different.

We are looking into the issue you reported as well, could you help share the loca logs with us by command Help ->Support and Diagnostics -> Diagnostics Log Files. It might take a while to collect the log file.

Hi Tom,
Looks like the 'data.p' response you shared is different from the screen shot you provided above. It says "Doc Display Name: KM LBV-1 26 x 26 x 5 3/4", while in you screenshot, it is "MRO C-7 XXX". Could you open "MRO C-7 XXX" and share the 'data.p' response again?
Or open this file, then dump the local log file to us by command Help ->Support and Diagnostics -> Diagnostics Log Files

My apologies. I have issues with every drawing I open or create, to varying degrees. In this example, most components have editable description fields. the multiple occurrences of the "1x6x84" are not editable. It is an external link and if I open that external model, the description is not editable there, either. Below is the data.p info from this MRO C-7 XXX model.

Also, is there a way to have communication with someone more near my time zone? I am in Central Standard time of the US. Currently, I get 1 exchange per day because of the time difference.
