The January 2026 update had issues for me:

1) Significantly slowed down Fusion, often became jerky / laggy etc

2) After saving a file it would not shut down, only option was to close it via Task Manager

Have installed the Feb update but it too seems to have issues. Appears to shut down but when I try to open it it says it is already running.

Almost seems like AutoDesk does not sufficiently test updates before release...

Have discovered the update left the Update Install package running in the background. Somewhat better after I closed that Installer.

But still some issues like occasionally taking over the whole screen so I cannot close it.

This update has truly ruined assemblies for me, what an utter mess, really slowed down my workflow - looking for alternative software no after 6 years with Fusion

I too have only problems after the last update, joints in assemblies are no longer respected, huge perfomance drops, just openeing a drawing takes more than 10 minutes, which has never been an issue before.

autodesk needs to roll back imediatly, and work on an update ASAP.

I am effectively prevented from continuing my work as it is now.

Seems to have got really bad the last few days... incredible screen lag, cursor jumping on screen, waiting ages for anything to happen. What is going on with Fusion, why don't they leave it alone when it's working properly???

A disaster...

Touch wood, I have not experienced performance issues, either on my Mac (Personal version) or PC (Commercial seat). However I fully agree, they have messed up assemblies. Working with parametric functions has been made almost useless as editing parametrics has to be done of each part file. Even if you edit the parametric .csv file externally, you still have to reload it into each part. Mirroring parts has become a real pain, requiring you to duplicate files and switching off visibility of each side. Don't blame you for looking to dump Fusion.

My sympathies with all of you suffering performance and stability issues. In response to another post, I have it on good authority from Autodesk that the Hybrid mode is identical to the previous iteration of Fusion - and so far it seems to work as before. So Hybrid is the way to go. The three modes (Part, Assembly and Hybrid) are all based on the same underlying technology, and are just different ways of looking at the same files. So what is the point of the Part and Assembly modes, which are essentially subsets of the tools available in Hybrid?

There are some annoying issues cropping up after the last update. Placing holes seems to be a bit erratic: trying to reference them to a second edge results in them moving to that edge, and all you can do is delete it and try again. Eventually it works the way it should!

I changed mode to hybrid sometime after I encountered the elevated lag times, but apparently the damage was already done to the assembly. Older assemblies (> 6 months old) do not exhibit these lag times but act normal on open/close/save.
