Greetings,

                  This last update has been frustrating at the very least, now, a core function of my usual workflow has just stopped working. I work with molds, what I usually do is the folowing:

- Create the final piece as a separate part;

- Start a new file, insert that first piece as a component;

- Create the mold using that piece as reference, if anything changes, I just edit the core and the mold updates. The mold I created is inserted as a component from another core part that hardly changes, so it saves a lot of time;

- Everything is separate components.

But now, after the latest update, I can't insert my core part as a component, only as a body (which is a bad idea, since I can't turn a derived body into a new component, which ruins the materials bill in the drawing, among other things), and that just doesn't suit my needs and ruins my workflow. What do I do? Is it a glitch and how do I work around?

Here it is how it goes now, only bodies:

Here is an old project, the way it used to work:

What is funny is that, in older projects, I can edit this like I always did and insert new components and so on, but new files? No way. Autodesk really needs to up their game, there is no use in incorporating AI slop into Fusion if core features are glitching, or even, basic features (like sketch blocks) that people have been asking for years are never implemented.

One hour of trying made me post this, then, another 10 minutes after posting and I sort of figured it out. I usually just "Ctrl+N" when I want a new file, now I have to click "create a new file" and select "hybrid design", then I can work like I used to (just ctrl+N creates a file that doesn't give me that option). I figured it out, but this division gives unnecessary clustering and is a horrible idea, since hybrid design as standard was what made Fusion appealing to me in the first place.

In preferences you can set your default type to Hybrid. CTRL+N will start whatever a user has set as their default.

Hope that helps.
