What value do I set my Calibrated Radius and Eccentricity X/Y when posting a probing tool path?

I have a Hurco VMX42i CNC machine, and am trying to use a Fanuc Inspection Post but I cannot find any information anywhere on where or what the Macro Variables are on my machine.

Hi @colton,

You are looking for the calibration values that are stored in the macro variables on your controller.

The values are normally one or 2 values that are slightly less than the actual radi of the probe so its its a 6mm diameter then 2.975 for example then another 2 values close to 0

So I would expect something like this:
#500=2.98765
#501=2.97865
#502=0.01246
#503=0.12547

Take a look at your macro variables and see if you can find something that looks like that, take a picture and send it back. I'll double check for you.

Thanks for that info, but my next problem is I can't even find where the Macros are kept.
Do you have any idea where I can find the macro variables on a Hurco machine?
Or where I could find that info, as Ive already searched the PDF's of the machines specs.

Thanks turns out I was reading the Manual for the machine.

So I believe it is in one of these pages, I'm just not quite sure, I'm thinking its 2004, 2005, 2015?

Hi @colton,

I don't think so, I think it will be more like 2.9... as its normally stated in radius rather than diameter. Not always though.

It looks like you are reading the system variables, values 2001-2200 are tool offset values.
Try changing the page to see global variables.

All of the global values are empty, and I'm not seeing anything close to 2.9, so I'm not sure where it is now.

I'm assuming your machine is in MM is this correct?

Do you have anyone at Hurco you know who could answer the values, where are the probing calibration values stored?
