topic IFC Conversion in Fusion Support Forum

Hi,

I need to convert an IFC to, ultimately, a STEP.

I have uploaded the files, it converts and I can view it correctly in the web based. However, I cannot download this file into Fusion without a a corrupted file message popping up.

This also occurs if I download the file directly and try opening from a location on my computer.

So my question is - would any of my companies IT requirements effects the 'download' of the converted file into Fusion or could there be something else going on?

Thanks

Re: IFC Conversion

Hi @mbellZM8E9
Thanks for the detailed description and for sharing the screenshot.

I want to let you know that this improvement is already known on our side and has been logged internally under the tracking ID FUS-118538. It’s on our list to be addressed by the team. At this point, it does not appear to be related to your company’s IT policies or download restrictions, but rather an issue in the conversion/import workflow itself.

Unfortunately, I can’t provide a specific timeline for when this will be fixed, but please be assured that it’s actively tracked. If there are any updates or changes, we’ll make sure to communicate them.

If possible, please share the IFC file, i will try to see if there is any other workaround to open this file in fusion.

Thanks again for reporting this and for your patience.
