Fusion zoom issues in drawings on a Macbook Pro. A year later, still a huge problem...

Zooming in drawings is still broken, and makes detailing drawings incredibly difficult. It appears to be a monitor scaling issue. When I change resolution on my monitors, the amount of offset from the cursor changes. Also, this only happens in drawings, not it design or manufacture. Unfortunately, all 3 functions are very important to my work.

I will continue to bring it up here, since the support person who was trying to help me with this has moved on. I really need this to be fixed. My workaround right now involves switching back and forth between a mac and a PC, and that wastes time, and requires that I haul around 2 laptops, when I shouldn't have to.

Thanks for the report @mattSRD2D. I think I can reproduce this without a resolution change, but just to confirm - are you talking about changing from a Retina/2x to Standard/1x scaled display, or adjusting the Resolution in Display Settings to look like a larger/smaller DPI scale?

I'm talking talking about changing the resolution in display settings for my external monitors only. On the built-in retina display, zooming works better. Not perfect, there's still some drift, but not nearly as much as on my external monitors.

Here's another fun wrinkle that might help point to the bug in the MacBook: I just purchased a Mac Studio, and it zooms flawlessly. However, I noticed one thing: If I changed the monitor resolution with Fusion open, zoom scrolling in drawings didn't work, performing exactly like it does on my MacBook Pro. However, if I close Fusion, change the resolution, and restart Fusion, it works flawlessly again. That leads me to believe that whatever bit of code drives Fusion's zoom scrolling in drawing space isn't asking the video card in the MacBook Pro what the external monitor resolution is, or ignoring it. And it has to be code within drawings because there is no problem zoom scrolling in design or manufacturing. Granted, I'm not a computer scientist, but I have been 3D modeling for more than 10 years now, so perhaps its an educated guess.

As a side note, the Mac Studio with the M4Max and 128gb of ram is the best machine I have ever owned. It's an absolute beast.

Thanks for trying to escalate it. It would be great if this could be resolved soon, while I can still return the Mac Studio if we can get the MacBook Pro to work right. But, I realize that might be a bit too much to ask.
