Linux?

I'm guessing I know the answer as aggressively as Autodesk walked away from Linux years ago but is there any effort to make a linux install?
I have about had it with Windows. F360 is one of the few things that has kept me suffering through this miserable OS but I might have to walk away from F360 at this point to get away from Windows especially with Autodesk dropping Win 10 support.

At this point the answer is NO, unfortunately!

The only alternatives are Windows 11 or macOS.

At this point I wish Autodesk would just pick a Linux distribution, say Ubuntu, and run with it. But I doubt that is going to happen.

Especially since at least some of their stuff used to work on Linux. Though maybe most of that was vestiges from when they consolidated software from other companies lol.
It seems like they went oddly out of their way to get in bed with Microsoft. Especially things like going Directx when OpenGL has been the go to for things like CAD.

I think you missed the part where AD makes sure to break the sign-in process with every update they do, to make sure the porting efforts from the Linux community gets affected.

I have completely stopped using Windows now on my PC since Windows 11 is forced upon windows 10 users, so I mainly use Autodesk Fusion 360 on my old MAC, and my PC is only for Linux. I have used Linux back and forth since 1997, back then I used Slackware 3.2 and now I use Mint, it's a great alternative to Windows and it runs perfect even on an older computer. There is really no reason at all to upgrade to Win 11 for a home user, it's much better to use Linux.

I really would like Fusion 360 to be available for Linux and I really hope that Autodesk seriously consider releasing the software for Linux! Since they have compiled it for Intel-macs and MacOS (it's Unix) the step toward porting it to PC-Linux should not be impossible?

I think I'm done with Fusion360. I have some projects that I'm starting to migrate to FreeCAD. When I've migrated all my projects, I'm done using Fusion360, unless it comes to linux. Sorry. I cannot continue with Windows. I like the software, but is my only thing that links me to Windows. That's it. Either you make Fusion360 available for linux in the next few months or I'm done with you. Sorry and good luck in the future.
