Derive Derives incorrect components

Hi, I am trying to derive components from the same file with different configurations. For some reason when I derive them one of the two components within the larger "Petal" component is of the wrong configuration. The petals are supposed to be of different sizes. Any insight would be much appreciated.

What they should look like (one is smaller than the other)

Please rename the .zip to .f3z, for some reason the forums do not like the file.

Thanks for posting and including a dataset to test.

I think what's happening here is the Derive tool is using the Active Configuration, instead of the configuration you selected in the Select Configuration dialog. After testing this a bit here, I'm able to reproduce the issue only when the Configured Design (CD) is open at the time that I use Derive. It seems to always use the configuration that is active in the open CD.

Do you recall if the Petal 2 CD was open at the time when you derived the different configurations?

I'll log the issue with our development team. In the meantime, here is a workaround you can try:

Close the Configured Design that you're deriving from (Petal 2).
Then use the Insert Derive tool from within the design you're deriving into (Mount Mockup).

Hi @Victoria.Studley, managed to refactor the petal construction using two thicken operations instead of 1 thicken and a mirror. For some reason the mirror operation changes the body's ID, resulting in an issue with the CutPasteBodies (used to make the petals into a component) operation later in the timeline, if the configuration is changed.

The reason why I need to keep them separate is because I use a sheet metal flat pattern to create scale drawings which I then use to cut out the shapes in Aluminium sheet, and bend.
