Correct!

The .stl you posted is probably faster to recreate with the native tools in Fusion than it is to convert.

I assume this was just a test, and you are looking at a more complex .stl model?

Hello,

I am following along with this support article https://www.autodesk.com/support/technical/article/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/How-to-Convert-a-Mesh-to-a-BRep-in-Fusion-360.html and can't get the same results. I am using hobbyist license.

1) So first I have a stl mesh that I import that looks like the type of object as in the article, if I simply click on convert mesh it completes, but the object still has triangles like original mesh, and not how it shows in article.

2) Also Following the "more in depth" workflow, when I click on generate face groups, and click on preview checkbox, I don't actually see any facegroups, but it does say that there is 15 generated.

I am on Fusion 2604.1.25 on MacOS

Edit, you might need to activate this setting.

What type of license do you have?

This is what I see if I set Type to accurate and with a tolerance of 0.001mm.

And then prismatic conversion. See attached file.

Ok yes I can see the face groups colored now. But as I mentioned I only have hobbyist license, so you can only get a real solid using prismatic conversion? They failed to mention that on that support article.
