&lt;P&gt;Sorry, I skipped the first part of your question. To get the right dimension 'direction', it will depend on where you move your cursor while you are assigning the dimension. Like this:&lt;/P&gt;

      <title>Sketch: Dimensions tab missing</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;As usual, I am new to the software. &lt;P&gt;The &lt;A href="https://help.autodesk.com/view/fusion360/ENU/?guid=DWG-ARRANGE-DIMENSIONS" target="_blank"&gt;'dimensions'&lt;/A&gt; dropdown is actually a section in the &lt;A href="https://help.autodesk.com/view/fusion360/ENU/?guid=GUID-54D1504C-8885-4EF7-A60E-8E3B902A2632" target="_blank"&gt;Drawings environment&lt;/A&gt;.&amp;nbsp; There is not yet a command in the sketch environment that is similar to arrange/tidy up in Drawings.&lt;/P&gt;
