Hi Saeed, that is very strange ...
When I view it externally (QCAD - 2d package)
I see this ...

Thanks for your input!

I'll need to find a third package and see which agrees!

Ian B

I'm using Fusion to create DXF files for laser cutting of a number of parametrically created parts.

I create sketches, and extrude them then add holes using a rectangular pattern feature.

I then convert to sheet metal, and create a flat pattern.

Parts appear correct on screen, and in the Flat Pattern editor.

However, when I export to DXF - holes appear in completely different positions to the model. (They appear to be mirrored around the main axis in some cases - but I'm struggling to characterise it.

I've attached a minimum example, and screen grabs of what I see.

Any suggestions gratefully received.

I've imported the dxf inside Fusion 360 and the dxf is correct, identical to the model.

I've tried a few other random DXF viewers and you're right ... it looks like the problem is with the other package (QCAD)
Never seen an issue like that before - but "every day is a school day"
Many thanks

Ian B.

Thanks Mark

Yup - looks like the issue is with the package I'm using as a viewer (QCAD) - never had an issue before today ...
Many thanks
Ian B
