nested asn1 error (_ssl.c:3947)

I'm receiving nested asn1 error(_ssl.c:3947) when I try to install Fusion 360.

Does someone have idea what could be the reason?

This is segment from log file:

"2019-10-05 12:42:08,578 - MainProcess(6272) - InstallDriver - adsk.dls.streamer.netlib - WARNING :: Failed to get speed data nested asn1 error (_ssl.c:3947)"

i cant install fusion 360. i was having problems with the update, so i uninstall it and now i can not install it....

any solution?

After many failed attempts to resolve this issue, I reinstalled fresh copy of Windows (now 10 Pro, it was 7 Pro, if that makes any difference, legit both), and now everything works perfect.

i know that fresh system will install it without problems, but i can not change or reinstall system on my machine...

it seems imposible that there is no fix for this....

Same here. I'm running Windows 10 Pro and I just downloaded Fusion 360 and I'm getting this error. Reinstalling windows is not an option in my case.

The same problem! I am using Windows 10 Enterprise. I have tried all the published solutions and nothing works. It all started with note that Fusion can't updating, to the point where I couldn't load the last drawings. I uninstalled the Fusion 360 manually because automatic uninstall didn't work for same problem. After that, a new installation is impossible! Unfortunately, I have a lot of purchased software that, if I reinstall Windows, will ask to buy them again. I am constantly looks for solution.

Does anyone have some proposal or what information should be sent for a solution rather than ask such a simple question and consider that is a reply.

yes tried all methods, even creating new account on widows, run it as admin or no admin it is always the same...

I found root of problem in my case and solved it. I just downloaded new installer and it looks that it's a bit more descriptive so I found that it's throwing following errors:

  File "D:\3P\PYTHON\3.7.3\win64\lib\ssl.py", line 578, in create_default_context
  File "D:\3P\PYTHON\3.7.3\win64\lib\ssl.py", line 479, in load_default_certs
  File "D:\3P\PYTHON\3.7.3\win64\lib\ssl.py", line 471, in _load_windows_store_certs

I started googling as it looks like general python problem and found following post:

I immediately realized that this is problem since I'm from Serbia and I have installed on my notebook software for reading Serbian ID cards. It seems that like everything in this country certificates issued by Ministry of Internal Affairs are messed up

Solution was to open certmgr search for MUP and delete all their certificates. As soon as I did this Fusion 360 installed like charm.

Works for me, MUP certificates were the issue.

Setting Up MUP certificates to work is pain in the **** and I am reluctant to delete them and go through that installation hell again.

A hope Autodesk will sort out python bug soon.

I'm also from Serbia, i got this error from totally different use case. I'm python / java developer and was developing software that use to work perfectly yesterday. And today i started receiving same exact "nested asn1 error". I knew that its not something i did by coding but i could not figure out what and why until i read your answer. Yesterday evening i installed "Serbian ID card software knows as CELIK" . So when i uninstalled it, everything worked perfectly again. I had to reset my password here just to reply to you and say one big THANKS!

Interesting... I'm also from Serbia and application Celik is installed on my PC, installation of Fusion was successful only after I removed Celik app... So that was the problem... Thank you all for directions how to solve this problem... 😉 Cheers...

Truly lifesaver. I uninstalled CELIK and CitacSaobracajne and all is working fine now 😉
