I've recently encountered this issue trying to put text on a tapered face with Arial Black font.

Are there fonts that won't cause a 'non-manifold' error?

My exact situation (in the video) can be recreated using the font Bahnscrift at any size and any justification. Various letters (so far I've found that E, e, T and B don't work either by not forming complete bodies or the extrude tool crashing just by it being there). I don't know if this extends to any other font, but this one for sure is bugged. I've tried creating new bodies out of text as well as joining it to another body (both by extruding to and from a flat surface). Is this on my end? This has been an issue for the last couple of updates.

Hi,

Some fonts can have surprising and sometimes annoying effects.
In the case of this font, they are completely unnecessary overlaps.
However, the effect you describe does not occur if you convert the font with (Explode) in curves.
The disadvantage, however, is that you cannot edit the text afterwards.
I don't know whether the font is TTF or OTF.
OTF causes less problems in Fusion.

günther

Very interesting, I'll be sure to use that explode curves feature.
