Make and edge tangent to a cylinder

Hi All,

I have an edge and a cylinder I would like to make tangent. See image below showing components/bodies needing positioning.

I tried making a sketch on the left parallel in the image above so I can ridgedly attached the highlighted component in blue on the right. But when I move the parallel on the left the sketch will note move along with it. See image below for example.

When I exit the sketch to move the component the sketch remains stationary.

My goal is to make the fixture and component look like IMAGE 3.

Please help.

There are many ways to do that, your sketch must be in the component that moved away from the sketch position.

Then you would joint the disc to the centre point of the sketch circle.

I don’t use Planar Joints, due to other Joints doing as required.

Without the file, you get best guessing answers,
