Small distance between faces

Hi all, sometimes when using fusion, I will get these very small distances between faces, and it's super annoying. Is there a way to permanently fix this? Is this user error? Usually, I just delete the face and fusion works out the rest, but sometimes it does not work, so I get two separate faces, which causes issues. how can I fix this?

When I have that issue, it's usually from user error (misalignment, etc.), but would have to see your model to confirm.

Although, I've had similar problems pop up when working with stitched surfaces.

Please attach your model. If you do not know how to attach your Fusion 360 model follow these easy steps. Open the model in Fusion 360, select the File menu, then Export and save as a F3D or F3Z file to your hard drive. Then use the Attachments section, of a forum post, to attach it. If needed, ZIP a F3Z file.

File. I have found a work around for the issue but if you see where there are deletions in the timelines, that's were the issue is

In the model you sent, the indicated face is a single homogeneous face. Therefore I can not diagnosis any issue. Next time it happens, try using the "Compute All" command and see it this helps. When you exported it and I imported it, it performs this action which I am guessing fixed the model.

Hi John, thanks for the reply. I still have this issue. More specifically, in this new project, when I mirror the component name tensioner mount, either the body or the feature, the faces are not on the same plane. There is a small distance between them. I have tried the 'compute all' trick, but with no success.

I do not see any space between the faces you indicated. I looked at your mirror and I did one over the length of the assembly and I do not see the space you say you see. Sorry.

I see it on my machine, but I didn't dig deep to see if it was user issue or simply floating-point math calculation issue.

At 5 decimal places is it causing an issue with the Joint solver? (I assume you are familiar with Scientific Notation and understand that this is an exceedingly small number.)

Yeah its a supdliy small number but it causes issue when I continue building the model as fillets and other features don't work.

That is what is needed to get real attention to the issue - an example where downstream functions are affected by the discrepancy.
