We are a technology school, with a Machine Shop. The student lab has 14 computers. Last year we had been using AutoCad, Inventor Pro, and Mastercam. Just a few months ago, our instructor found Fusion 360 and said it replaced all three.

Using my admin id of technology@ictc.edu, we found and installed "Fusion 360 Admin Install.exe" This worked for many weeks, with each student loging into Fusion with their own student Autodesk id.

Now at all stations that we used that install, we are getting a "Notification" that says "Update Available. Please notifiy your administrator that a new update is available." And the side effect is that saving no longer works. Current version is 2.0.1957 "Active Plan: Student"

Looking for the proper procedure to do updates on workstations that were installed with "Fusion 360 Admin Install" (may have been previously called "Fusion 360 Lab Install")

As this forum is specifically for CAM topics, you may have better luck submitting this same question in the design forum, as there are more people following the discussions in that location:

http://forums.autodesk.com/t5/design-validate-document/bd-p/124

In the meantime, I will see what I can do to help find a solution to this for you!

Sorry for the problems you are seeing - hopefully we can get it resolved soon.

Hi,

Just closing out this thread. The solution is evident below, but please let me know if you are having trouble with this solution.

@thomaswhilbert No. The admin install used by schools does not allow this.

Here is the article for updating admin school installations.
